Greenhouse effect is the phenomenon where the temperature of the earth keeps on increasing in such a way that hit is not controllable now days. The temperature is increasing in a very high rate that it cannot be stopped whereas the increase in temperature can be reduced to some small amount. There are many causes for these effects. This effect is named as greenhouse effect as this effect is similar to that of the effects happening in the green house. Greenhouse is nothing but a place where plantlets are grown. This house is covered by glass such that the temperature is maintained. What happens in this effect is that the sunlight comes inside the glass and hence it heats the air inside the room. Whereas when it reflects from the surface and when it tries to go to the outer atmosphere, the glass traps the sunlight’s heat hence making the temperature of the room to rise in a very fast rate. This is called as the greenhouse effect. This is what is happening in the earth’s surface. The atmospheric air which is present in the upper atmosphere is denser than that of the lower atmosphere such that these acts like a glass in the green house. This lets the heat to come in whereas the heat is not let outside. This is one of the remarkable features that have helped the earth and its living organisms to strive in this condition. In the olden days, this effect is very essential to maintain the temperature of the atmosphere so that we can live in that. But in the present world the increase in the use of plastics and other greenhouse inducers things has increases this effects reaction. For example the increase in plastics in this world has drastically increased. Also the clothing has also changed.
Greenhouse materials:
The clothing has now developed in many ways that it uses many kinds of materials and resins such that the plasticity of the materials has increased and hence they increase the carbon content of the materials. By seeing the alarming increase in the green house effect and the temperature raise in the earth’s atmosphere the scientist have marked a clear note. The note says that we need to use greenhouse cloths such as the clothes made of cotton and pure animal products and hence reducing the plastic content in the cloths. Therefore, this reduces the carbon content in the atmosphere.

In countries, which have severe cold weather prevailing it is difficult to grow plants. So in countries like those they mostly feed on animals for their eating. In cases of eating a vegetable, there a unique method followed in these countries to grow the vegetables. The use greenhouse in these regions is popular. Greenhouse is nothing but a closed room more often a building is meant where the whole building is made up glasses. The main purpose of the greenhouse is that it traps the sunlight falling in the region and never allows it to escape. So the room is warmer than the surroundings. This is usually done to grow the plants, which require a higher temperature than the surrounding temperature.
Items required for building a greenhouse:
The greenhouse is a structure, which is fully made up of glass. The main criteria for building such a one is that the fixtures made and the joints must be very strong. And the joints in the greenhouse must be aesthetic and the most appropriate material of selection is Aluminum. This is due to the fact that it is cheaper and the effectiveness of it in trapping the sunlight. Soil in the area must be most suited and since the plant that is to be grown is of the high temperature dependent plant it is advised to burn the soil with waste garden products before building.

Foundation kits:
In cases of plants, which do not grow in the soil condition of the particular place, it is grown with the soil from other areas. In such cases foundation kits are required. These foundation kits must fit stable and secure. In such cases the plastic foundation kits are most suited ones.
Roof vents:
In case of the greenhouse it is a closed room so aeration is of a big problem. So in the greenhouses roof vents are provided to solve this problem. It increases air circulation in a great amount.
Louvre window:
These types of window are placed in the rear side of the entrance. This is for two reasons. One is that it provides with increased aeration and the other is that it is for its aesthetic appeal.
Shade cloth and Shelves:
The weather is prone to change and in that situations shade cloth is required. It closes the entire greenhouse so by protecting the plants. For proper maintenance shelves are required. These are available as a set itself. They can be utilized for it.
Climate control:
The purpose of a climate controller is to provide the plants with proper temperature watering and air. This is advanced equipment seen in many greenhouses.
Greenhouse is a place to grow plants in cold weather. It is mainly made up of glass and aluminum fittings. The other accessories required are foundation kit, climate controller, roof vents, shade cloth and other things. From this it makes a complete set of greenhouse.

In winter season the climate other than the equatorial and temperate regions are very severe that growing vegetables are almost impossible in that temperature. For this it reasons all the houses situated in that region have a greenhouse adjacent to their house. Greenhouse is a small building where the temperature is made to be higher than the surroundings and it is used to cultivate the plants.
Principle of Working
In ordinary greenhouse the heating element is the sun where the temperature is increased in the greenhouse by trapping the sunlight inside the greenhouse. This is done with the help of inclined glass rooftops in the greenhouse. As the glass sheets are inclined they make the heat rays to go into them and when they return to them after reflecting they come and fall on the glass due to total internal reflection the heat rays are reflected a no of times thus by causing the increased temperature in the greenhouse. In the case of climate controllers provided it is capable of providing a temperature of 70 degree Celsius when the outside temperature is as low as 0 degrees. This is only done by the best internal design of the greenhouse.
Quality and Quantity
In considering the production rate and quality of the vegetables grown in the greenhouse with the vegetables that are grown in the field, the vegetables that are grown in the greenhouse are as good as the ones that are grown in the field. To say the truth the greenhouse vegetables are better then those vegetables that are grown in the field due to the reason that they are grown in a controlled environment where as there counter parts are prone to drastic temperature variations. The production rate in the greenhouse is larger than the field because the wastage is minimal in the case of greenhouse where as the field there is a equal chance weeds getting grown along with a higher probability of attack from the pests.
Cost Involved
The cost involved in growing the vegetables in the greenhouse is slightly higher than the field. But the quality of the vegetables got is high and even. This make the manufactures to incur with the greenhouse cost excess.
The vegetable growth in the greenhouse is accompanied with its own pros and cons. The principle involved in the greenhouse is controlled environment in addition with trapping of sunlight. The production rate and the quality associated with the vegetables in the greenhouse are high compared to their counter parts. Though the cost involved is high it is bearable.

The air circulation is monitored when we use vents in the windows and a special type of window, which will take care of the needy, replaces the back door. And about the watering scheduled and proper watering has to be done in order to make the proper growth of the plants.
Automation
There is automation available for the optimization of the all the above-suggested things. You can optimize the watering system, which is a little modification of your fire exhaust system. This is capable of providing timely and correct water quantity. The other is the ventilation and temperature. These things are also controlled by the usage of climate controllers in the greenhouse.

The production of vegetables is largely altered when considering in the summer and winter. The production rate is much higher than what we get in the winter. This is of the usual scenario till last year. But there is appreciable growth in the current production year.
Reason for low production :

The vegetables water content gets frozen due to the cold temperature and this will cause the dying of plants and in some cases change in the chemical composition too. The conventional process taken to overcome this difficulty faced by the farmers is by making use of the greenhouse climate to them. The greenhouse is a place where the whole room covered with the glasses so it will trap the sunlight in the room and cause a high temperature in the room than the surrounding to make the plants to grow fine as they grow in the summer. The plants also are easy to maintain in a closed atmosphere. The pest control is of a easy task over these areas. Growing cucumbers is not hard. Some say that growing cucumbers need spacious space, but today you can do it in less space, too.
Before you start growing cucumbers, here are few things you need to know about these plants:
- Cucumbers are members of the Cucurbitaceae family.
- Cucumbers are climbing vines so once you grow them, they will grow up higher and higher.
- Cucumbers have two types of flower: male and female. The female ones have tiny cucumbers at their bottom.
- Cucumbers love a warm, well-drained soil.
- Cucumbers can be eaten fresh (slicing varieties), or pickled (pickling varieties). The pickling varieties can grow up to 7 – 10 cm long and 2.5 wide, while the slicing ones can grow even bigger (up to 35 cm).
- It is recommended to highly consider growing cucumbers and put them in your daily diet since their properties will help you improve the health of your skin, hair and nails.
Growing cucumbers begins with a good preparation. Put a fair amount of organic compost into the soil. Always keep the soil well-drained. Raise the beds around 6 inches high.
Next step in growing cucumbers is sowing the seeds in biodegradable seedling pots, 2.5 cm deep. It will keep the roots safe when you plant out the seedlings. Do not plant them outside before the last frost.
Also, when you sow the seeds, keep the holes apart at about 40 cm between each. Three seeds in each hole is a best trick to increase the success rate of germination. Keep the rows apart at about 90 cm between each.
Growing cucumbers in a green house is a good idea, too, since they enjoy sunlight and a warm environment. Make sure you spare enough space up high that they can reach around six feet. Another way of growing cucumbers is, should you do not have enough space for them to grow up high, letting them spread over the ground, against the wall, stakes or trellises.
Weed the cucumbers regularly, but be careful not to go below a couple of centimeter with your hoe. Damaged roots will slow down their growth.
Growing cucumbers also means that you have to water them well each week. They love water!
Help them pollinate by transferring the pollen from male flowers onto the center of female flowers, use cotton bud to help you out.
Harvest your cucumbers by twisting them off the plant, or by cutting the stalk just above the tips. Do this when they reach suitable size, normally 50 to 60 days after planting. The ripe fruits should be dark green. Do not wait till they turn yellow, it means they are overripe and their flavor declines.
