A drought is a natural danger that has many negative effects on ecology and human activities. A drought might become a catastrophe at any moment.
While this natural climatic event occurs step by step very slowly, as it persists the consequences become very dangerous. Usually related to lack of rainfall and therefore lack of water, a drought causes diminished agricultral production and may lead to famine and death.
